#NDAM: Traveling Alone

National Diabetes Awareness Month: Day 6!

I travel alone a lot. For me, that means taking extra precautions. I always have a TON of low treatments with me: candy, glucose tabs (even though I don’t like them) and soda. Sometimes when I’m low, eating or drinking certain things will make me sick, and I want to make sure I have lots of options!

If my blood sugar is high, I need to make sure I have water, or easy access to water at all times.

Traveling alone with #T1D is entirely possible, but there is a comfort and peace of mind that comes along with traveling WITH someone else.

These are just a few of the things I have to think about that you do not when you have to travel! #T1DYouDontSee #NDAM
